Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer

Project Description:
Macdonald Dettwiler (MDA) is currently involved in a number of major CROWN projects including an advanced multi-mode airborne radar system, for deliver to the Canadian Department of National Defence (DND). MDA plays a major role in the logistics support analysis, resource development and implementation. MDA develops selected logistics support measures and manages subcontractors for development of the other logistics support resources.
Position Description:
This position has both a subcontract management component and a logistics engineering component.
Responsibilities:
- Management subcontractors responsible for logistics support analysis, tech pub development and training
- Perform selected tasks related to logistics support analysis, tech pub development and training development and conduct
- Perform front end analysis (Reliability, Maintainability, Availability) as required
- Proposal preparation
- Customer's point of contact for RMA, logistics, tech pubs and training
Requirements (experience/skills):
- Bachelor degree in Electrical/System Engineering or a technologist with equivalent (10 years related) experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with major CROWN (DND) projects
- Experience as a DND Project Engineer is desirable.
- Experience as a DND Life Cycle Maintenance Manager is desirable.
- Experience with Logistics Supportability Analysis, Maintenance Planning, drawing practices, computer resources, Technical publication development, support resource requirements and training development.
- Experience with reliability/maintainability/availability requirements and calculations is desirable
- Logistics subcontract management experience is desirable
- Ability to function as a part time manager and part time engineer in both small and large groups
- Military experience is desirable
- Willing to travel
- Reasonable presentation skills

Due to program security restrictions, Canadian citizenship and SECRET clearance is required.
