For immediate release: July 22, 2003 MDA to Supply Land Information to Local Government Agencies in Canada and the U.S.Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA) announced today that the company's Geographic Information Products group has received orders from local government agencies worth approximately $2 million (CDN).For the Ministry of Transportation in Ontario, MDA is providing detailed land information products on various provincial highways in Southern and Eastern Ontario. This information will be used for engineering studies and infrastructure improvements. For the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, MDA is providing land information to the Vicksburg District and the Jacksonville District, which include several southeastern States. Land information provided to the Districts is used for soil management, erosion control, flood management, growth planning and other environmental stewardship purposes. Also in the United States, MDA is providing land information to local government agencies in New Jersey, Virginia, Alabama, Florida and Georgia. This information will be used for engineering services, GIS applications, and infrastructure improvements.
