For immediate release: September 23, 2003 MDA to Participate in Provision of Military Ground StationRichmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA) announced today that the company has been awarded a contract worth several million dollars by the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS) to participate in the delivery of an additional mobile ground station to the United States government.The new EADS ground station will enable the Air Force's Eagle Vision system to obtain information from Canada's RADARSAT-1 satellite, as well as Indian, French and American satellites. MDA President and CEO Dan Friedmann said: "Our company is continuing to make inroads into operational strategic U.S. defence projects, as we provide mission-critical systems to this growing market." The Eagle Vision 5 ground station will be delivered in 2004.
