MDA to Study Satellite Servicing and Advanced Radar Missions

Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA) announced today that the company has won four key study contracts with the Canadian Space Agency involving autonomous robotic satellite servicing in space, and the next generation of advanced radar missions.

"With these studies, we're helping the CSA to identify the next steps Canada will take in the new fields of satellite servicing and space-based Synthetic Aperture Radar," said Dave Caddey, who heads up MDA's Space Missions Group.

The four study contracts are valued at $1 million in total.
