For immediate release: December 10, 2003 Electronic Conveyancing now Available Through BC OnLineRichmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA) announced today that a new econveyancing service through BC OnLine went live on Nov 10 2003, allowing lawyers and notaries in British Columbia to close real estate purchases electronically.Econveyancing brings the entire property transaction process online, and makes it accessible anywhere in the province. It starts with the title search, and moves to generating and exchanging all related documents using electronic signatures. By mid 2004 it will also be possible to file the required land transfer forms directly with the Land Titles Office via seamless electronic access through BC OnLine. Econveyancing is a BC OnLine, web-based application developed in partnership with third party conveyance experts, Remotelaw Online Systems Corp. BC OnLine is once again serving as the leading service provider in the delivery of online technology in B.C. "MDA's land information products business is evolving from distribution of essential information to a full econveyancing service," said Roland Knight, President, BC OnLine. There were over 150,000 conveyancing transactions conducted in British Columbia over the last 12 months.
