In the past, MDA only accepted property search orders submitted online via its NLIS Channel. However, a substantial number of U.K. law firms do not have Internet access. These solicitors, who typically request property-related searches via traditional methods such as mail, can now access MDA's Channel by fax or mail to expedite multiple search requests.

Once MDA receives a solicitor's order via traditional means, its staff will carry out the searches electronically via the Company's NLIS Channel web site. A solicitor can transfer to directly using the Internet to access MDA's NLIS Channel at any time.
