MDA Signs Three Reseller Agreements For Home Information Packs In England And Wales

Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has signed three exclusive 5-year contracts with HIP providers in England and Wales to further position itself as a leading provider of Home Information Packs (HIPs).

After many months of evaluating potential supply partners, HIP London, House Inspect Ltd., and Survey and Valuation Company have chosen MDA as the partner who can provide the most comprehensive solution to support their offering of a complete HIP to independent estate agents. These companies will distribute, under their own brand, HIPs produced by MDA. Additionally, House Inspect and Survey and Valuation Company employ their own Home Inspectors to ensure both a rapid turnaround and a quality product tailored to each client's individual requirements.

HIP London, located in central London, is an established group of chartered surveyors with established relationships with a number of the Top 50 estate agencies in central London. HIP London will market a "white label" solution that will allow them to offer fully compliant and warranted HIPs.

House Inspect Ltd, based in Hampshire, is a firm of dedicated home inspectors which is forming a growing network with local estate agencies and solicitors in the south of England. House Inspect Ltd. will offer a complete HIP service, including the mandatory Energy Performance Certificates and their own optional Home Condition Reports.

Survey and Valuation Company (SAV), located in Lancashire, north west England, is a network of home inspectors offering significant access to independent estate agencies and lenders in that region. SAV intends to concentrate on the provision of Energy Performance Certificates as part of their HIP offering.
