For immediate release: February 6, 2007 MDA Information Solution To Support Royal Institute Of Chartered Surveyors In UKRichmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that its UK subsidiary xit2 has been selected by the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) to provide an information solution in support of the RICS Certification Scheme for Domestic Energy Assessors and Home Inspectors. RICS' Certification Scheme is one of the three schemes approved by the Secretary of State. Under the Scheme RICS will train and certify Domestic Energy Assessors and Home Inspectors to produce Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Home Condition Reports (HCRs) in compliance with the Home Information Pack (HIP) regulations. MDA's information solution is enabling RICS to create and maintain a detailed, secure database of members who are certified under the Scheme. The solution will also assist certified members with the preparation and electronic lodgement of EPCs and HCRs. RICS is an international organization headquartered in the UK with approximately 120,000 members in 120 countries that provide extensive services to professionals involved in land, property, construction and environmental surveys.
