MDA Announces Major Home Information Pack Alliance With Countrywide

Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that the company has signed a contract with Countrywide Estate Agents (Countrywide), a wholly owned subsidiary of Countrywide plc in the UK, to be its lead supplier of Home Information Packs (HIPs). Countrywide is the largest Estate Agency Corporation in the UK handling the greatest number of home sales.

As the lead supplier MDA will receive all of Countrywide's HIP orders and will execute those orders supported by a back-up supplier.

Home Information Packs will become mandatory in the UK in June of this year, when every listing to sell a home will require the inclusion of such a Pack. MDA was one of the first companies to act on this new market opportunity by developing a highly automated HIP solution that can support large production volumes. The company is currently participating in the Government initiated dry-run period.
