MDA Joins the Government of Alberta and the Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems to Introduce New Information Service
Richmond, B.C. - MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd. (TSX: MDA), a provider of essential information solutions, announced today that it has entered into a co-operative initiative with the Government of Alberta to expand the Canadian Centre for Unmanned Vehicle Systems (CCUVS) headquartered in Medicine Hat, Alberta. The CCUVS provides an international hub for the design, development, testing, evaluating and commercialization of unmanned vehicle systems.
MDA is cooperating with the Government of Alberta and the CCUVS to introduce a new information service based on flying unmanned surveillance missions. The service will feature Canada's first operational use of a Medium Altitude, Long Endurance unmanned aerial vehicle.
